It was just an appropriate option for resting at all in Amberley with reasonable value. The butter pats were too thick to spread, making breakfast a bit tricky. A tip, bring your own butter if you want to enjoy your toast fully.

A delightful stay characterized by a charming, quaint room that exuded comfort and character, complemented by efficient service throughout. The courtyard dining experience, adorned with fairy lights, created a magical atmosphere, while breakfast featured a lovely special request for Iced Chocolate with Oat Milk. The location invites peaceful morning walks among picturesque thatched cottages, making it a blissful retreat despite the heat wave and some noise from street-facing windows.

serene elevated terrace, modern bathroom facilities, clean cozy room
Why on earth are the coffee-making facilities so awkward to use? The kettle lead is unreasonably short!!! breakfast starting at 9am feels like a cruel joke when planning a long day of exploring!!!

Couples Seeking a Cozy Retreat
I gotta say, the pub atmosphere was just right, felt so cute and rustic! They had a lovely raised garden that made the perfect spot for sipping drinks post-hike!
It wasn't exactly affordable, but it was still decent enough.

Perfect getaway with friends!
We loved dining out in the cozy courtyard—such a chill vibe! Food was top-notch, scallops and steak were hits! The only hiccup was some delays in getting dessert. Still, it was all about the good times with mates, making the experience unforgettable.

Had a lovely stay with a fantastic room that was cozy and spacious. The superfood salad at dinner was a real hit. I enjoyed unwinding in the garden area and took advantage of the peaceful seating spots available. The only thing I’d mention is the nearby road noise from time to time, but it didn’t ruin my experience at all! 😊
